if anyone can make a higher spec machine for cheaper it is them. They will go for a higher spec machine and hopefully take a little hit on the price to make profits with software. Let us hope.

Okay...If you were laid off making 70k and go on unemployment..you may make enough from unemployment to continue to pay your mortgage. If you accept a job from 7eleven for 25K you would loose your house. Think of that.

Nope..my job is doing well and secure. Now..when your looking at unemployment in the U.S. Who does that effect?? Consumers maybe? Thats how it plays into things. If you dont think the economy plays a part in consumer purchasing then you my friend need to go back to school.
Also, when a system is cheap then those who are hit hard by the economy can afford to buy their kid a cheap system for their birthday. So you think 10% of the U.S. not buying a system isnt a big deal?

The average casual consumer wont spend $200 on a system and then buy a $150 piece of equipment to play a game where your bouncing balls or driving a car with no controller. Thats not including the price of games.
I was worried about this one but all of the reviews so far have been good. I will be checking this one out.
I know no casual player excited for Kinect and those that are think its a stand alone device. "What, I have to buy an entire xbox to play Kinectamals?" That will be the casuals thinking.There are few excited for the Move as well but I bank on Sony selling more of that than Kinect.
